Super Easy Naan Bread

I LOVE bread!

So on Tuesday we had the book The Satapur Moonstone, and I thought what better time than now to share this naan recipe with you all (If I can, I really try to have the mysteries and recipes match up).

This recipe comes from Food.com

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 Cups of Warm Water
  • 1 Package of Yeast
  • 1 Tbsp of Sugar
  • 1 Teaspoon of Salt
  • 3 Cups of Flour

Directions:

  1. Combine water, yeast, and sugar in a bowl.
  2. Let stand for 5 mins until foamy.
  3. Add salt and flour-mix together.
  4. Knead about 20 times on a floured workspace, and the form into a ball.
  5. Place in a well oiled bowl and cover with a towel. Let sit for 30-45 mins.
  6. Turn dough out on floured cutting board, cut into 8 pieces and roll them out.
  7. Grill on a grill, electric griddle, or on a comal
  8. Grill until brown.

Thoughts after cooking:

These were super easy to make and absolutely delicious. I just kept eating them and eating them…

I know I will be making this a lot in the future.

Heart Shaped Pizza with Homemade Pizza Dough

Valentine’s Day is upon us and you know I love to eat heart-shaped pizza, it’s my yearly tradition. Last year I decided to make my own, as I had everything I needed, and wanted to share it with you all this year.

This recipe comes from Teaspoon of Goodness.

Ingredients:

Pizza Dough

  • 1 Cup of Warm Water
  • 1 Package of Yeast
  • 1 Teaspoon of Salt
  • 2-3 Cups of Flour

Pizza:

  • Olive Oil
  • Pepperoni Slices (Or topping you desire)
  • Mozzarella Cheese
  • Spaghetti Sauce

Directions:

  1. Combine yeast and warm water. Let sit for one min.
  2. Add salt and flour and mix
  3. Knead until mixed and dough pulls away from the side of the bowl. (If dough is too wet, add flour. If dry add more water until the consistency is perfect).
  4. Let the dough rest 15-30 mins in a warm area about 20 mins.
  5. Seperate the dough into two balls.
  6. Flour a surface, wood cutting boards work best.
  7. Take one dough ball and flour it and the rolling pin.
  8. Roll the dough out to the amount of thickness desired.
  9. Top with sauce, cheese, and toppings.
  10. Cook at 450 degrees F for about 15-20 mins or until crust is brown.
  11. Cut into heart-shape.

Thoughts After Baking:

This was very good, better than the 15 Minute Pizza Dough.

Matcha Latte (Hot or Cold)

So Tuesday we reviewed The Key to Midnight, which is set in Japan, so I thought why not have a Japanese recipe? And of course one of my favorites, Matcha Tea!

This recipe comes from my sister blog, JaneAustenRunsMyLife, who LOVES tea.

Ingredients:

  • 2 Tsp of Matcha Powder
  • 2 Tsps of Sugar
  • 3 Tbsps of Warm Water
  • 2 Cups of Milk (Hot or Cold)

Directions:

  1. Put the Matcha powder, sugar, and water in a cup or mug
  2. Whisk together to ensure no lumps (use a matcha whisk or electric stirrer.
  3. If doing hot, warm the milk and pour into the mug. If doing cold, just pour the milk in the mug.
  4. Use the whisk or electric stirrer to combine everything until it is a light green color.
