Thoughts Before Cooking:
Found this on Pinterest, originally from the blog, Back on Pointe. It seemed easy and tasty, so I thought why not try it out?
- Whole Grain Bread
- Low Fat Mozzarella Cheese, cut into thick slices
- Tomato Slices
- Basil Leaves
- Lay slices of cheese and tomato slices on the bread.
- Broil until cheese is slightly brown and melted.
- Lay basil leaves on it.
- Eat & enjoy.
Thoughts after cooking:
So the recipe doesn’t orginally call for basil, but I decided to add it, which tasted great. The whole thing was good as it pretty much tasted like a Caprese Salad on toast.
